Bark For Life

On Saturday we went to Oregon to help support the American Cancer Society and their Bark for Life dog walk. Here are a couple of admirers keeping the pups busy while we set up the booth.



All the pups held their downs, but just had to creep over to the kids to say hi.


















Now the pups had to pose nicely in front of the signs. First in a sit stay...................













then in a down stay. They all did very well at both.











Harley will use anyone for a pillow that will let him.

It was a very nice windy day. Talked with a lot of nice people and met all kinds of other dogs.

Today we took a drive with Marlene, Magic, Linus, and Riley. We went to see Sharon Long. She put a chip in Linus and Riley.
We rode along so Magic and I could visit our mom and dad who live there.

There were all kinds of yellow dogs running around, but I found a little time to play with all the toys myself.

Candy at zoo

Friday we went to the Madison zoo. I was very popular. With all the different animals to see every one kept coming up to me and wanting to pet and hug me. Hasn't any one every seen a poodle before?

I was also popular with the other animals. When ever one spotted me they came up close to the fence to look at me. The Camels, and buffalo, and girraffe's were really interested in me.

I couldn't go see the lion's, tiger's, or monkeys tho. Orders from Marlene. They might get too excited at seeing me and might lunge at the glass.

I think the best part of the zoo was watching the praire dogs. They were all running around digging holes. I could of watched them all day.

It was a long day. Dad and I took a rest while the

grandkids played in the park.

Boston Store - Janesville

Today I got a bath, and blow dry.

Then I went to Marlene's to get groomed.

It took over two hours of standing and sitting on that table.

I did so good, but I sure was glad when it was all done.

Marlene also put pretty bows on me, but they only stayed in for 5 minutes after I started playing with the other puppys.

Great Lakes Pet Expo

Today we had lots of the OccuPaws dogs at the pet expo in Milwaukee. They all had a great time getting loved. We saw cats, ponies, and even some reptiles. I don't have many pictures, but Wilbur and the new black lab puppy were a huge hit. The older dogs, who are getting better and conserving themselves, maintained their greeting duties while the little ones napped.





Now that we're home, Promise is zonked. We've been practicing "Place", where she patiently stayed while I made myself dinner.

Fun Match

On Saturday Maddi went to the Rock County 4-H Fairgrounds to attend a Fun Match fundraiser for the Rock County 4-H Dog Project. The morning was spent watching the obedience run-throughs. It was good practice for Maddi to have to watch the other dogs working and walking right past her and have to ignore them. The afternoon was spent participating in the conformation run-throughs. Kathy took Maddi into the ring for the puppy 4-6 month class. Maddi did quite well considering the fact that we had never practiced this with her before. Of course, since you can have treats in this ring, Maddi was all attention.





Journey and Candy also joined in the fun in the show ring, but I could never seem to get a picture of Candy. Someone was always in the way or she was moving so much it was too blurry.
Maybe next time we can get her to be a little still.

First Haircut

Marlene goes and put's this fuzzy thing in front of me and here I thought she liked me allot to give me a new toy, snack ?? Then she goes and says "No"....... hmmmm, should I or shouldn't I ????

Janesville Petco

Maddi, Finley, Magic & Candy were all at the Janesville Petco on Saturday for a couple hours. The puppies got lots of pets and hugs and we talked with some really nice people.
