Work Day

Echo only received a half ration of his already reduced breakfast this morning. Lisa was taking him into work for her annual performance evaluation and she didn't want any surprises.

All that planning and there were still surprises - nothing waste related though. As Echo and Lisa entered the office, someone told her that "Dogs aren't allowed in this building." She turned around to provide the guide dog explanation, she was surprised to see Echo's owner/donor, Cheryl Munro (surprise #1). As they were talking, Echo was calmly sitting when he suddenly barked (surprise #2). A dozen heads peaked out of their offices. With the exception of a few whimpers during the meeting, the remainder of the work day was uneventful.

Returning from our evening walk, we took a detour to the baseball diamond and football fields to set the dogs free to run around and play. You would think after fifteen minutes they would be exhausted and tired all night long - Echo was just getting warmed up. They settled down when leashed and walking home.

As I was writing this I heard a slurping sound coming from the hallway leading to the bedrooms. The water bowl is in the kitchen. Yes, Echo was drinking out of the toilet. My fault because I heard him pushing his empty water bowl around as I started to write this. I guess I need to learn to type faster.
