Banjo was scheduled to leave on the first of the month, yesterday, but he was allowed to complete his Teenager Puppy Class at The Dog Den. The final class included all the commands that we have been working on: WATCH, SIT, DOWN, STAY, LEAVE IT, WAIT, COME, and walking on a loose leash. He graduated this evening.
He did extremely well with LEAVE IT, as I slid milk bones past him. We also added a SIT from the down position where he would immediately pop up. When I tried to fool him by telling him to DOWN when already in a down, he would start to rise and then lie back down.
Since he is only here for another day and he doesn't like his crate, we made a new bed for him. He likes it much better - no more crying in the crate.

FYI: Banjo has never spent a night outside his crate.
