After it cooled down, we took a long evening walk. First to the park to see if any friends were out and about. Echo met Kane, Sable, JoJo, Leinie, and CoCo. After exchanging pleasantries, we walked downtown. There was special event for kids/families which turned out to be a perfect place for Echo to meet new people (a few adults and dozens of kids).

After working the crowd, we set off for home where we stopped off at the playground. Echo slipped through the tunnel, bounded over the rocking bridge, and pranced across the wiggly plank. As we were leaving the playground, a boy that we had met told his dad, "That was cool, I got to see a guide dog."
We also found out on the way home that Buddy wouldn't have made a very good guide dog. A jogger ran past and Buddy was watching him too closely and fell off the curb. My guess would be that Doug would have flunked him right then and there.
