Slide

Echo is missing his two front teeth. No accident, just growing up.

We have been trying to get in an extended walk every evening to work off the puppy energy. Today we walked to the park. Then through the long grass, up the hill, through the long grass again, and down the slope. When out of sight Echo responded immediately to our call and returned.

Walked to the library which was Echo's first trip there. Plenty of people in the library, but not a good spot to meet and greet. We just practice entering through doors and sitting patiently at the counters.

On the way to the library, I let Buddy lead Echo on the playground equipment. Buddy knows exactly what to do, up the stairs, across the bridge, up more stairs and return. Echo usually follows Buddy, however, today Echo took a detour before going down the final set of steps. He went through the tunnel, which he rarely does without coaxing. And then he continued unexpectedly down the slide. He looked like Bambi on ice. The look on his face was terror or glee.

Of course we continued working on SIT and DOWN commands.
